So much has happened since my last post! I've enjoyed Thanksgiving in Birmingham with my family, a fun trip to Troy to see all my friends, and we've crossed a lot of things off our Wedding To Do list.
We've booked a band (yay!), found mom a Mother of the Bride dress, ordered invitations, met with our travel agent, almost selected wedding bands, ordered all the bridesmaid dresses and more!
It's a good thing too, because the nuptial nightmares have already begun. Last night, I had a dream that it was 30 minutes before the ceremony and we still had not printed wedding programs or finalized the ceremony details with my preacher. My dress wasn't ready for the ceremony so I had to wait wear it to the reception and to top it all off, there were several hours between our ceremony and our reception so all our guests ended up hanging out at Burger King (wHaT?). It definitely put me in the working mood when I woke up this morning!
On a side note, I recently learned that Chicken drumsticks cannot be treated and cooked as buffalo wing drumettes when bought accidentally and your fiance doesn't like it when you vacuum while College Gameday is on the morning of the SEC Championship. I also learned that if you show up to Dunkin Donuts about 15 minutes before closing, you MIGHT just get a free hot donut :)
A visit to see A Christmas Carol at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival this past weekend really has me in the Christmas Spirit. I just ate a whole pan of Christmas Tree cookies for dinner and I watched Eloise at Christmastime on TV. Possibly because last week's episode of American Horror Story is a little too off the wall for me to catch up on my DVR, but mainly because I'm in the holiday spirit.
That's just me. Lately...

Our Wedding Website! and App!
I've been working on this for a while and I'm happy it's finally {almost} complete! It's still a work in progress but here is our wedding website: peytonandy.appycouple.com
Appy Couple makes it so easy to get information to our guests about our wedding, registries, events and more! There are a lot of wedding websites available but Appy Couple brought something to the table that no one else did, a smartphone APP! How cool is that? Our App is available for iPhones or Droids and can make it super easy for guests on our wedding day, especially with directions.
The App has a few features the website doesn't, like a Toast section in which guests can leave us messages and a Games section with a slider puzzle.
It's free and easy to download. Download Appy Couple and submit our wedding code: 05196. You also submit your email but you won't receive any spam mail. Your email is just for if we were doing RSVPs through the website.
So download it or visit our website and get a closer look into our lives and our wedding!!

What a Beautiful Mess
I've found myself in a pretty crazy whirlwind. Amidst planning a wedding and working my first "big-girl" job, it's safe to say this is a turning point in my life.
In the past year, I got engaged, graduated college, moved to another city and started working for an exciting social magazine. In the coming months, I'll get married, move to another state and begin looking for a new job. I'm definitely at a crossroads in my life and I wouldn't change a single thing.
Truly, madly, deeply in love with the same sweet fella for 7.5 years, I am so excited about starting our next chapter. He makes all the crazy, hectic, pull-your-hair-out wedding planning worth it.
The planning process has also made me realize the greatness of the loving support of my family. My mom has been so organized and has gone above and beyond to research, plan and prepare for our wedding and I am so thankful.
Looking back, I've realized how fast time has flown and I don't want to forget anything about these exciting, changing times of the future. That is kind of the purpose of this blog, the PDF files (inspired by my {soon to be} new initials: Peyton Dismukes Flowers) to journal my experience. So, thanks for stopping by and I hope you check back every now and then!
